BB# 22: 10 Brutal Entrepreneurship Truths I know at 41 and wish I knew at 21!!

There’s so many lessons that can be drawn from being in business, coaching, selling services and more.

This year I turned 41 and I became a professional coach when I was 21 teaching martial arts, then moving into strength and conditioning, then business coaching, consulting and dealmaking.

In that time i’ve had some pretty good wins, made a ton of mistakes, launched, scaled…and failed!

So with that in mind I thought this week I’d share ‘10 Brutal Entrepreneurship Truths I Know at 41 I Wish I Knew at 21’:

1. There is NEVER a perfect time to get started on something new, don’t get caught waiting.

2. Not everyone will understand your vision and ambition for finding success and that’s okay, don’t let it deter you.

3. You will never truly be satisfied there will always be another mountain to climb or kingdom to conquer.

4. All of your failures and rejections will be accompanied by a lesson, don’t ignore them, learn from them.

5. Comparison is the thief of joy, stop continuously comparing yourself to other people, enjoy both the highs and lows of your own journey.

6. The more often you show up the more likely you are to succeed. Consistency is crucial.

7. A £500 client will make your life 10x harder than a £5000 client.

8. Focus on perfecting your craft, experts get paid 14x more.

9. It doesn’t matter how good the product is if no one knows about it. Marketing is everything, make sure you put yourself out there.

10. You can’t create magic from a place of emptiness, your environment and who you surround yourself with is everything.

That’s my list of ten. (well for today!), from someone who has started, failed and succeeded in multiple businesses.
