BB# 35: If I was starting my coaching business again I'd start here.

Hey friend,

I want to break down something else that’s working very well in coaching businesses at the moment and that is building community.

I say at the moment, this is not a new thing. As I built strength and conditioning education to over 7 figures one of the linchpin elements to that was the community we built. It allowed us to deliver more value over a longer period of time. When other education companies were selling one course and then forgetting about their people, we coached people daily and sold lots more as a result. That was 10 years ago.

At the time I had to stick to my guns to push the community as the leadership team I’d built didn’t quite get it. They thought it was unnecessary cost and time, but in reality they didn’t get it. It was a critical pillar.

I’ve used community to build several other coaching businesses since then. That was then and this is now. What’s working today?

Well community means different things to different people. For me it’s a place where people can join you in a private environment and build the relationship.

I’d recommend one of the list below to all 12,000 reading this newsletter:

1. WhatsApp or Telegram groups.

2. Facebook Groups.

3. Apps.

You can set all of these up for no investment and invite your clients, prospects and their friends to it.

Does it work?

My client Gabriel is cleaning up with community in his first couple of months with me. He launched a free Whatsapp group and in MONTH 1 he did £15k in sales from it. Since then he’s done over £30k.

Emma launched her free facebook group, added value and launched her online programme at a launch price of £1k. Within hours she’d made sales. Now it’s a huge business asset for her and she generates a really consistent almost effortless flow of clients.

Isaac the same with his coaching community. He has a thriving newsletter and group that he’s built over time and continues to make consistent rhythmic sales from it.

If I was starting my coaching business again I would 1000% begin with organic content into a free community. You get to learn about people, you get to serve them. You’ll get a ton of testimonials, a ton of feedback, and you will get paying clients. It elevates your positioning. You now have something to talk about and share results.

It’s actually very fulfilling to run one. Because we’re coaches aren’t we and we get to do this stuff, we don’t have to do this stuff.

It’s working and you should have one….IF you have the calling…

You have to have the calling to lead people at a higher level to make this work. It will not work if you want the money without the work. You need to be in there every day being the leader, showing people the way.

At the end of the day, coaching is leadership and leadership is coaching.

So your next moves.

It all works in tandem.

And community might not be the play for you yet, there might be some other things that will need doing beforehand.
