It’s actually my ‘Ten Year Ads Anniversary’ this year. I remember it vividly, my very first paid ads campaign in 2014.

I’d hired a mentor to teach me what to do and critique my ads, spent a long time studying beforehand and I had a new coaching programme launching in January 2015.

I’d also recently quit my day job as Head of Strength and Conditioning to go full time in my online business so it really needed to work.

After launching the ads the leads started to drip in one by one.

I was spending around £10 per day initially on it and this was getting me 3-4 leads per day.

When each lead came into my inbox I messaged and called them up straight away to have a chat and explain the coaching programme.

The programme was £2.5k. I kissed a lot of frogs - that’s part of the game.

I did all of the sales, emails and follow up myself.

After running the campaign for around two months I’d enrolled 50 people and I turned off the ads to focus on delivery.

In that moment I didn’t realise the relevance of what I’ve done. When I look back that phase changed my life.

The product had done well over £100k in sales which was epic. (My first 6 figure product launch).

But more importantly it was a scaleable process that could be repeated.

It formed the basis for me investing in team members, bringing sales people into the business and growing to a 7 figure company over the years to follow.

Literally all of that from learning paid ads 10 years ago with a £10 per day budget.
