I have a poll running on Linkedin asking this question:

“Would you leave your country of residence?”

The current results are staggering with 94% of people saying HELL YES!!

More and more people I speak to are looking to move out of the UK and live/work internationally.

Whether it's the pull of better weather or the push of higher taxes. It seems the tide is changing.

The thing is you can do this more easily than ever before now. The geographical limitations are so easy to overcome. Countries are launching super competitive visa’s to lure people from less competitive nations.

Right now you can move to a ton of countries and pay between 0-5% tax on your income.

In February 2023 I landed at Leeds Bradford after a few days in Spain. Got to the steps down from the plane and hit the ice cold -2 degree winds. When I arrived home that evening I said to my wife that this was my official last winter in the UK after flirting with the idea for years beforehand.

She agreed, we fully committed and began the process.

Sold our UK property, sorted out our lives.

On December 18th we’d officially moved. 10 months in total.

That’s the time it takes.

If you don’t have kids and other stuff you could literally do it in a month or two.

With one key question…

Funding.

How are you going to fund this dream you have?

Well let me say something straight. You absolutely do not need to have a great big pile of money to do this.

It’s so much cheaper to live in a place like Spain that it is the UK. Literally you will live on less than 50% of what you’re spending now.

And if you do it right you won’t pay anything like the taxes you’re paying now either.

So when it comes to earning money don’t let that get in the way.

Make the decision to move and then build your strategy.

The decision comes first because otherwise you’ll systematically sabotage your strategy and continue to make excuses. Like I did for many years before that ice cold wind hit me!

Back to funding. And this is key.

You must have an online business of some kind.

And there are literally tons.

Amazon drop shipping. E-Commerce, AirBnB. Ebay, Reselling. Affiliate Marketing. Trading, Forex, Travel, Vlogging, Youtube etc etc.

I understand but don’t teach any of these.

Online coaching, mentoring, education, e-commerce products, membership sites, that’s my sweet spot.

I love these business models because they really help people and make fantastic money with excellent profit margin.

AND you get to deliver your very best work and can run them as a lifestyle business or scale it into a performance business. There literally is no ceiling but the starting point is the same and it looks like this:

Audience First.
Product Second.

You can have the best product or service, but with no one to buy it you don’t make a penny and help no one.

As you may know I started selling online around 2008. I’ve never looked back.

And this is what made the international move possible for us.

Because we can make the money we want from anywhere in the world.
