MINDSET :
When I look back over the last 20 years what has enabled my success the most is getting help at the right time, often earlier than I really wanted or was ready to invest.
When I wanted to be a professional martial artist I made the scarifies to relocate my entire life and train full time with people like Karl Tanswell.
When I wanted to be a world class S&C and performance coach I travelled to the states and worked with Mike Boyle, and paid the worlds best coaches to share their knowledge with me.
When I recognised the need to learn about marketing, business and sales I attended seminars, hired coaches, mentors and consultants.
It never ever stops. This year alone I’ve invested over £20k in mentors and experts. I’ve bought into networks that have helped me secure investments, acquire companies, and create amazing experiences and results for my clients.
And you know what else, when I look at anyone else that’s making things happen they’re all acting and behaving in this way.
If you want the knowledge and you want to progress the smart thing to do is go and hire people to help you become who you want and need to become.
It’s that simple.
MONEY:
Want to know the most important skill in marketing? It happens to be the same for coaching. And leadership.
Easy, it’s listening.
None of us are mind readers are we (unless you are??!!)
And so if you don’t listen you can’t hear what people are saying. The market will always decide what they want. You don’t get that privilege.
If you want to sell our your product launches, create great programmes that really help people and be a great entrepreneur it comes down to listening.
Your job as a leader of people, as an entrepreneur, is as follows.
Ask.
Listen.
Create.
If you ask they will answer (Marcus Sheridan wrote a great book on this).
The most ignorant quality is thinking you know better than the market.
They will speak, but only if you ask. Then you need to listen.
Until you’re ready to do that expect your message to fall on deaf ears.
FREEDOM:
If you want to create memories be ready to do the work required.
Because memories often come disguised as hard work. And that means it’s very easy to turn the opportunity down before you get the experience.
Some examples.
If you want the view from the top of the mountain you need to climb it first.
If you want to watch the rock band you have to wade through the crowds.
If you want to see your children get married you have to raise them right and stay healthy.
If you want to be fulfilled in your work you have to have the courage to get the clients that will challenge you.
