MINDSET :
The books have all the knowledge. You can download millions of words through reading listening and watching.
So why aren’t you were you want to be yet?
Are the books full of BS?
No. More likely you are.
You haven’t committed.
A client of mine just closed 3 online coaching programmes at 3k each this week. Pretty good week for them. On target for a 25k month.
They followed the exact process I showed them.
Yay!
Here’s the thing though.
I’d already given the exact process away for free and they’d seen it.
What’s going on here?
Commitment. Until you fully commit, and that means emotionally and financially, the change won’t happen.
The answers are in the books.
The results are in the coaching.
MONEY:
Pricing comes up a lot. Almost every day. Literally this mornings group coaching call I ran was almost all focussed on pricing.
98% of people begin with something along the lines of “I think people will pay this…” or “this is what other people are charging”.
This is an utterly floored approach and here’s why….
If you walk through a poor area with a really high priced item will anyone buy it? Probably not. An obvious example would be a fancy car, but think deeper. What about a personalised nutrition coaching programme? Or a concierge service? Or private tennis lessons, or a VIP experience at Wimbledon. They won’t buy it partly because they don’t have the disposable income but also because they don’t get it. They can’t see it. This is value as well as price. Cheap is the leading value for this population, understandably so, and many entrepreneurs have become wealthy selling cheap things to people who don’t have much money. You just need to create the right business model for the market. Think bootcamp fitness where it’s all about volume.
But the opposite is also true. Walk through an expensive area with a super cheap item. Unless it’s a commodity like energy where there is no quality element to it, these people will not buy either. It’s not the right fit. They don’t want it. They want the best. The best value. Value is in the experience, the outcome, the quality of service. Think family health concierge working with expats inside the M25.
When you’re thinking about pricing the absolute critical component to focus on is what street do you want to send your time on.
Your best work is not going to be cheap. If you want to work with High Value Clients, people that actually respect and value your work choose your street carefully and focus on showing your products to people that value what you do. The price is secondary to the value it delivers.
FREEDOM:
It was my kids graduation at school this week.They asked hem all what they wanted to be when they grow a. “A spaceman”, my son said. Love that, no limits whatsoever.
What about you, what do you want to be when you grow up?
We’re all still growing up remember.
You might be doing something now that you’ve ended up in, but it doesn’t mean you can’t change tomorrow, or next month.
Don’t lose sight of what you really want.
Your next few moves might be working out a plan, starting a side hustle, quitting your job. It might take a few months or even years. But you can completely re-invent yourself in a few years if you want to, and earn great money doing it.
Be careful your values don’t end up as excuses. We use mortgages, responsibilities, partners, parents as ways to not do what we want to do. They’re great excuses they really are.
No one can challenge them.
Except you.
You know.
The truth.
