3 Things to Change Your Life…

MINDSET : 

Remember what’s important. You can have all the money in the world but if you don’t have your health you’d pay every penny you have to get it back.

Earlier this week in Barcelona we were hit with floods. Not as devastating as Valencia but still scary.

We had towels at the doors and cars were stranded in our street. The neighbouring houses were flooded in their basements and were pumping water out for the next 24 hours.

When I woke up that morning I didn’t expect anything like it. No real warning of extreme weather. a few hours later we were starting to panic, moving our valuables upstairs and bracing for the worst.

In those moments nothing else matters. Just your safety and security, the basic human needs. We got very lucky and were not impacted to badly.

Perspective is key.

Yes it’s great to grow and have a business and create amazing things, but you are enough already. Do it because you want to do it.

MONEY:

If in doubt build brand.

Your personal and business brand is so much more powerful than anything else. It’s the ultimate catalyst.

Nike doesn’t need to hard sell their stuff to you. You already know it’s good quality. If you like their brand you will buy and value their stuff.

Same with Apple. Same with Mercedes Benz. Same with your favourite coffee.

If you lead with building brand, and by which I mean creating incredible value every single day, solving people’s problems, showing up, showing yourself and actually leading your market, not shying away…

The enquiries, the sales are just around the corner.

Where most people go wrong is by giving up too early. And taking the slim pickings. The people that want cheap and cheerful.

No world class brand goes with that approach.

Same applies for you. Value yourself. Commit to it for 12 months minimum.

FREEDOM:

This week I had a couple of days in London. Love the city, so much going on, so much history.

I was in Canary Wharf for some business meetings. Such a buzz.

Here’s what I noticed. There was lots of money being made but not too much freedom.

Lots of money but not much freedom. Because they aren’t linked.

Money does not equal freedom. You can be chained to your desk and rich.

You can be location and time free without big money.

Do the maths - how much do you need? Often it’s far less than you think.

The first step is daring to dream. The second step is making a plan. The final step is execution.
