3 Things to Change Your Life…

MINDSET : THE LANGUAGE OF CERTAINTY

I’m a big boxing fan, and recently I’ve been watching more of heavyweight Daniel Dubois and his head coach Don Charles.

Don Charles is more than just a boxing trainer. He’s a man who shapes environments, and he does it with intentional language.

At first glance, he sounds hostile. Abrasive. His tone is firm. Confrontational even.

But when you sit with it, when you really listen, you realise it’s actually full of warmth.

Warmth for someone who wants to change.

Not for someone who wants to stay the same.

That is the mark of a transformational coach.

His standard is clear. His language is clear. And the certainty of the outcome is built into every single word.

I’ve said this before and I’ll keep saying it:

Environment is the number one catalyst for change.

But right up there with it?

Language.

The intentionality of your language is directly linked to the certainty of your outcomes.

So what’s the message?

Start using intentional language.

Ruthlessly challenge yourself and your clients when you hear:

“It’s not possible.”

“I’ll try.”

“Maybe next year.”

“That won’t work for me.”

That is not high performance.

You accept the standards you don’t challenge.

So raise them.

Build a framework based on intentionality and certainty.

And speak that into your world every day.

MONEY: IT STARTS AT ZERO

We are living in the easiest time in history to start a business.

And yet,

People wait.

People overthink.

People delay.

So here’s a little reminder.

It starts at zero.

It costs zero to jump on Zoom.

It costs zero to write an idea down.

It costs zero to design something on Canva.

It costs zero to make a connection on LinkedIn.

It costs zero to have a meaningful conversation.

It costs zero to record your thoughts on your phone.

It costs zero to learn from world-class mentors on YouTube.

It costs zero to build a simple landing page or send your first email.

It costs zero to decide you’re serious and take your first imperfect step.

It costs zero to change your life in the next 30 days.

You don’t need more time. You need more action.

You don’t need more money. You need more courage.

It’s all there for you.

So go.

FREEDOM: THE POWER OF BEING LED

Not everyone wants to lead.

And that’s okay.

I’ve got a good friend who is an incredible operator. A loyal, brilliant number two in a business. The kind of person you’d want on your team in any situation.

But he doesn’t want to be the founder.

He doesn’t want the limelight.

What he wants is to be led well.

To follow a vision he believes in.

To be empowered by a strong leader.

And that is a version of freedom too.

We often glamorise the founder, the CEO, the one who “builds it all.”

But freedom is knowing where you operate best.

And making your choices accordingly.

So here’s a thought:

Don’t just choose a job. Choose your boss.

Choose someone whose values you believe in.

Whose vision you align with.

Someone you’re excited to support and grow alongside.

Because the hours, the tasks, the title—those are secondary.

The energy of who you work with and who you follow?

That’s what makes or breaks your freedom.

So whatever your path looks like—

Choose with intention.

Choose with pride.

And never forget, freedom is owning the choice.
