3 Things to Change Your Life…

Happy Christmas, I hope you had a lovely time.

As we’re almost at the end of the year I thought I do something a little different in this newsletter and share 11 important things I’ve learnt this year.

Firstly I want to say a big thanks to you for reading and following my work. I really do appreciate it. This year has been a big one for me personally moving to Barcelona and growing a new business from the ground up.

My coaching business is now working with over a hundred people across a few core programmes. And it got too much for just me to handle so the team is now 3 strong in the coaching side (Emma and Gemma) plus my enquiries and applications manager Gav and social media support Charlotte and James.

I don’t want a big business (been there!!), I want a great business. And 2025 will be about cementing that further and offering even more to you to help you to get where you want to be.

I’ll share more about that in another update,

But for now here’s 11 things I’ve learnt/relearnt/unlearnt this year…

Hope is a strategy.

For years I’ve come down hard on hope. It’s not action orientated, it’s meaningless. I didn’t value it.

But today I think differently. If you don’t have hope you have nothing.

I’ve worked with lots of people in 2024. Some have been flying already, others have never been lower. I’m also a very high and low person myself. Here in lies the context.

When you’re in a low place the thought of ‘doing the doing’ just is not there.

Hope actually comes first. Because when you have hope it raises your energy to a place where you might be able to begin something more.

And so in the dark moments your strategy is to find hope and optimism somewhere, then add vision, then gradually get to goals.

So hope actually is a key strategy.

Money is simply a tool.

To get where you want to go. It's not the objective.

I used to think money was the destination, the end goal. But it’s not. Money is simply a tool that helps you achieve the things that truly matter—whether that’s freedom, impact, or security.

Focus on your vision and the money will follow as a natural byproduct. If you focus on creating value and solving problems, the financial rewards will align with your efforts.

Money will flow your way when you create opportunities for people, when you open conversations and when you step up and lead.

Health First, Always.

Like hope, if you don't have health, you have nothing. And you'd give up every penny to get it back.

In 2024, I’ve been reminded more than ever that health is everything. Without it, nothing else matters. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle, but at the end of the day, your well-being should always come first.

Prioritise your physical and mental health, because only when you're in a strong, healthy state can you give your best to your work and your loved ones.

Deliver Your Best Work.

Imagine a world where the more value you create, the more mind blowing your results, the more bespoke, personal, intimate, transformational you are the more you get to charge.

Imagine a world where if you put your absolute best on the table and show it to the right person they will pay you exactly what you ask for it whether it’s £500, £5000, or even £50,000.

We live in that exact world. You’re just not creating those offers.

My client Craig went through that exact process with me this year and sold his next programme for £30k instead of £5k.

And it’s not about simply adding more ‘stuff’ into it. It’s often about taking stuff out of it to be honest with you.

Create programs and offers that you're proud of. Go to market and shout about it, not shy away from it. If you're not getting the sales you want, ask yourself: Are you creating the programs and products you truly want, or are you just following the herd?

In 2025, people want coaches who stand out from the crowd, not blend in. Be bold, be unique, and deliver high-value, transformative work. When you create from a place of passion and purpose, that energy will attract the right clients.

Coaching is Leadership.

Whether you like it or not, you're a leader. So lead. People need it more than ever before.

If you're not prepared to lead, why would you think people would follow your work or your methods or your programme?

When you step into leadership fully, people will follow you not just for what you know but for who you are.

You can sign clients without using social media.

Similar to the point before, leaders aren’t always front and center. You can lead from the shadows, but you still have to lead.

I’ve worked with coaches this year doing 20-30k per month, and they’re not on social media—or not really working it anyway. They lead through conversations, create experiences, bring people together, and sell that way.

You can do that too if you want. Your network, referrals, and in-person interactions can be powerful ways to build your business without relying solely on social media platforms.

Desperation does not sell.

We're in the game of trading energy, aren't we. Trading positive for negative, confusion for clarity.

Did you ever chase someone when you were a teenager, and that chasing made them run a mile? We all did, right? It just does not work. On a macro level, people can sense desperation in your brand and message, and it repels them.

If you're desperate for clients, people sense it. It's not the play. The best advice I can give you in these circumstances is take a moment to breathe. Maybe even take time out and come back when you're refreshed and ready to lead again.

Get a coach yourself to keep you in check. A good one will not let that happen to you.

In 2025, we will see coaching move in two core directions: upwards AND downwards.

It will be online programs and communities at the lower end, and highly personalised, bespoke, unlimited access at the higher end.

If you combine experiences and in-person opportunities you will win. Create opportunities for people to spend time with you.

Create unique, different moments for people—not just more Zoom coaching sessions.

People crave connection, not just content. If you can create a hybrid of digital and in-person experiences, you’ll stand out.

People want to invest in the person who will take them further and faster than they can go alone.

They want to feel certain. Can you give them this?

In 2024, I’ve seen how important confidence and clarity are to clients. They don’t just want a coach—they want a partner in their success. They want someone who will guide them through the obstacles and challenges they face and help them get results faster than they could on their own. If you can instill that sense of certainty, clients will invest in you.

Moving away from pain will still be the #1 motivator.

Some things never change.

If you talk about removing pain first, rather than focusing on the positive outcomes, it will get a reaction. People buy coaching to solve a problem. Speak to their problems, because at the core, people are motivated by the desire to escape pain or discomfort. Just like no one buys petrol for a smoother ride, they buy it so they don't get stranded on the motorway!

Clarity is the foundation of progress.

In 2024, I’ve learned that clarity is often the missing ingredient in many people's struggles. Whether it’s clarity on goals, clarity on the market, or clarity on personal values, without it, you're wandering in circles.

When you’re clear about where you’re going and why, everything becomes easier. It’s the highest order habit. Everything opens up from there.

The moment you gain clarity, you gain momentum.
